Description

Laser treatments are now the go to procedure for the removal of many types of vascular lesions, including hemangiomas, vascular malformations such as port-wine stains, telangiectasias, venous lakes and angiomas.

The Perfect Vascular Solution

Long-pulse Nd:YAG lasers offer the perfect solution for treating vascular lesions. Our lasers penetrate to a depth of 5-6 mm into the skin, allowing for highly effective treatments. Independent research shows that over 75% of patients with deep hemangiomas treated with Nd:YAG lasers see a dramatic regression in the lesion.

Safe, Effective and Minimally Invasive

The energy from the laser is absorbed by the blood in the vein, converted into heat, and the vein walls are subsequently destroyed. In comparison with other wavelengths, which mainly affect the surface layers of a lesion, Nd:YAG laser light also targets the underlying vascular feeding supply, which is important for ensuring the long-term effects of the treatment. This process is perfectly safe as other healthy veins supply blood to the treated area and the body’s immune system clears away the dead tissue just as with a bruise. there is no reason why you can’t.

What is Rosacea ?
Rosacea is a skin condition that can cause a flushing, redness, spots and noticeable blood vessels ; usually on your cheeks and nose. You may have some or all of these symptoms. The condition can be more severe in some people than others and it can also come and go over time.

Rosacea sometimes looks like acne and other skin disorders. It’s a lifelong skin condition that affects 1 in 10 people over the age of 30. People who are more fair skinned are more likely to get Rosacea. Its actually more common in women but the condition is also very severe in men.

The condition has no known affect on physical health but because of the appearance it can lead to extreme self consciousness and insecurity.

How laser treatment of Rosacea works ?
Laser treatment is the gold standard in the treatment of Rosacea.

Our 1064nm laser works in two ways :

By targeting the tiny blood cells just under the skin, the laser causes the walls of the veins to collapse.
The laser also targets the pores , in a similar fashion to the laser treatment of Acne, helping to destroy the bacteria which can lead to the causes of spots and blemishes.
How to manage Rosacea ?
Lasers may be used to reduce extensive redness, correct and eradicate visible blood vessels. A gentle skin care regime can be invaluable in helping to control Rosacea. In general non irritating skin care are advisable and protection from the sun is of importance.

With time and experience you will be able to identify and avoid all the lifestyle and environmental factors that can aggravate this treatable condition and prevent the sudden triggering of flare ups.

Laser treatment of Rosacea is not particularly painful, and feels like a light elastic band snapping against the skin or some describe a pin prickling sensation.

You normally see improvement immediately. Depending on the severity of your condition, two treatments onwards see best results.
