Vascular Lesions

The use of laser to treat unsightly thread veins or vascular lesions is safe and effective. The laser light targets the oxygen within the blood vessel, causing a thermal increase local to the area. This thermal increase results in a breakdown of the vessel or lesion which is drained away naturally through the body, just as it does with a bruise but without the pain!

The types of lesions removed are:

Thread Veins (broken capillaries, spider veins, red veins)
Hemangiomas
Vascular malformations such as: Telangiectasias and Angiomas.

When will I see results?

Improvements can be seen after one session and then progress from there. This treatment has been clinically proven to have an 85% full clearance success rate. This means not a single thread vein was visible post treatment, if any veins were still visible the study was considered failed. With these strict restrictions, they were still able to gain a large amount of clearance.

Will it hurt?

Though the treatment will not be free of sensation, it will not be painful. You will feel warm to hot prickling or nipping sensation during your treatment.

How much does it cost?

The cost of the treatment is dependant on the size of the area being treated, treatment starts from £80 per procedure.

You may need a course of treatments depending on the size of the lesion, your specialist will advise you of this on the day.

Are there any side effects?

We use the award winning laser technology for skin and hair removal treatments. All are FDA and CE approved for clinical safety and results. There are no side effects that are detrimental to your health. Immediately post treatment there may be redness, swelling, bruising, itching, sensitivity for 24-48 hours post treatment.
